every piece is made under strict supervision, yayang, the fluffy ginger who taste-tests the beaded stems, and a gray cat who guards the bead spinner.
shedanbunga began with one beaded flower. atiqah threaded each petal bead by bead, a french beaded bloom that never wilts. one became a bunch, and the bunch became our first booth at people's picnic, anjung floria, in june 2026.
where it started. beaded flowers, hanging plants, earrings and hair clips, still made one at a time at atiqah's table.
then the table grew. seashell mirrors, suncatchers and windchimes joined the flowers, followed by two little collections of their own: shedansea, crochet sea creatures, and shedanspooky, a softer kind of spooky.
and now, fashion. patchwork skirts and pants, embroidered tops, dresses, cardigans and bags. this is the part of shedanbunga growing fastest, and we keep adding new one-of-a-kind pieces before every market.
since that first weekend we have set up at markets around putrajaya, cyberjaya and the klang valley almost every month. the booth looks different now, but the idea is the same: pieces chosen or made by hand, one at a time, for people who like things with a story.
